dRMM’s Scale Infinite opens to the public today at the FuoriSalone event in Milan.
Director Alex de Rijke will join a panel of speakers during Interni magazine’s press conference this afternoon at 14.30hrs. The conference will mark the opening of ‘Feeding New Ideas for the City’, this year’s theme for the FuoriSalone exhibition.
The event aims to promote “design as event, as performance, and as installation”, and brings together some of the world’s best designers to make this happen. dRMM’s contribution is a new iteration of Endless Stair, which was originally conceived for the London Design Festival 2013 and erected outside the Tate Modern, London for four weeks.
Scale Infinite, built out of six flights of interlocking stairs, is positioned in front of the majestic Ca’ Granda colonnade with its topmost flight cantilevering over the courtyard – providing views of the event and the city.
