‘MAKING IT HAPPEN: NEW COMMUNITY ARCHITECTURE’ EXHIBITION OPENS AT RIBA - 30-01-2019

The RIBA public exhibition ‘Making It Happen: New Community Architecture‘ opens today, and we are delighted that Hastings Pier is one of the four projects featured.

The exhibition asks the question ‘What does community architecture look like?’ and highlights four exemplar projects from around the UK including Hastings Pier, Coniston Institute by Grizedale Arts + Hayatsu Architects, Old Manor Park Library by APPARATA and The Lookout by Processcraft.

The immersive project installations offer pragmatic yet inspiring examples of architects and local communities working together. Each tells the story behind the creation of new or reimagined public spaces; making them happen, despite difficult economic circumstances.

For more information about the exhibition at the RIBA Architecture Gallery, running from 30th January – 27th April, visit https://www.architecture.com/…/making-it-happen-new-communi…
