Thank you to everyone who came to our Forest of Fabrication exhibition preview last week, we had a great night celebrating the opening with so many of our friends and collaborators.
The exhibition is now open to the public from Monday to Friday 9.00am – 6.00pm and Saturday 10.00am – 5.00pm. We hope you enjoy the exhibition which features twenty-four of our projects that have pushed design boundaries through their exploration of the opportunities and challenges of timber structures. Please let us know what you think of the exhibition, why you love timber as a material or which model is your favourite, by posting a picture or including #ForestofFabrication on your tweets and posts.
There is an excellent events programme running in parallel with the exhibition, featuring the 2019 Wood Awards launch; ‘Build to Rent’ breakfast discussing modular solutions for the future; ‘The Architecture of Maggie’s‘ an evening with Charles Jencks, co-founder of Maggie’s Centres, in conversation with architects Alex de Rijke and Benedetta Tagliabue; half day symposium ‘Re-Imagining Timber’ featuring international designers and projects; ‘Ensuring Long – Term Performance of CLT‘ breakfast seminar on design requirements and maintenance of CLT buildings; ‘Tall Storeys from Scandinavia‘ an evening discussing building high with CLT in Sweden and Norway; ‘Business as Usual for CLT‘ half day conference examining the impacts of new legislation for tall buildings and five guided tours highlighting exhibition themes and key projects.
