dRMM’s Endless Stair, originally commissioned for the London Design Festival 2013, will be reconfigured for Interni Magazine’s ‘Feeding New Ideas for the City’ exhibition during the FuoriSalone in Milan, Italy.
The original structure was designed as an intriguing structure of Escher-like interlocking staircases made from American tulipwood cross-laminated timber (CLT). Located outside Tate Modern on London’s South Bank, it was conceived as a three-dimensional exercise in modular timber construction, offering the potential for reconfiguration and adaptation to different contexts.
This April, the Ca’ Granda building, one of main venues in the FuoriSalone event, will be the new setting for Scale Infinite – the latest iteration in the life of Endless Stair.
The structure will be open to the public from 7 – 18 April 2014, located at the Università degli Studi di Milano – Ca’ Granda ex Ospedale Maggiore, via Festa del Perdono 7, 20122 Milano, Italia.
