dRMM celebrated a double-win last night at the BD Architect of the Year Awards taking home the prize for ‘Education Architect of the Year’ in the ‘Nursery to Secondary’ category as well as the overall ‘Architect of the Year Award 2013’.
It has been an important year for dRMM: our first two new schools were completed in Birmingham and planning was secured unanimously for a new campus for the Exter Royal Academy for Deaf Education – a project of national significance. Other dRMM milestones this year have included the completion of a housing development as part of the regeneration scheme at Kings Cross, a design for a residential block within the Battersea Power Station masterplan, and a major presence at the London Design Festival with the hugely popular architectural sculpture – Endless Stair.
dRMM has previously won awards for Best New Architecture Firm in 2004, Housing Architect of the Year in 2006, and were finalists for the Education Architect of the Year Award in 2010. We are honoured to have been recognised by the BD Awards and congratulate all of the winners and nominees. We are extremely proud of our team and our projects and would like to thank our clients and collaborators.
