The dRMM team is excited to announce our studio-wide participation in the Global Climate Strike this coming Friday.
Together with many of our industry colleagues, dRMM will be joining the ‘Fridays for Future’ youth strikers, as a demonstration of our commitment to fighting the climate emergency and in conjunction with our ongoing practical and research-led contribution to the wider climate crisis action movement.
The dRMM team will be taking recess from our regular studio work for the day to assemble and march with the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) and other practices/building professionals. Together we will walk to Millbank House to take part in the Global Climate Strike rally and sound a collective National ‘Climate Alarm’ at 1pm. Later in the day we will regroup at the dRMM studio for an internal discussions aimed at identifying measurable changes we can make as a practice.
Last month dRMM launched its first internal Climate & Biodiversity Emergency Forum, occurring as a regular, studio-wide discussion addressing key objectives and strategies relating to climate action, and specifically to dRMM’s involvement with the Architects Declare initiative.
We encourage all our clients, collaborators and peers to join us at the Climate Strike this Friday 20th September 2019. Together we can help raise awareness and promote action against the planet’s most urgent and present emergency.
