Director Sadie Morgan has been shortlisted in the AJ Women in Architecture Awards 2014. She has been recognised for her career spanning almost twenty years in the field.

Sadie has positioned herself as a spokesperson and leader for women in architecture and design, encouraging female architects to “learn to listen. Be generous to your peers and about your rivals. Get some perspective. Travel, read and look with a critical eye.”

She has had an incredible year, apart from being named the fourth female president of the Architectural Association (AA), she was active in representing dRMM’s pioneering work in engineered timber. This year she spoke at the Architecture of Necessity conference in Sweden, the IABSE conference in UK, and the Trae! Wood Symposium in Denmark.

Moreover, Sadie continues to have a multi-faceted role within dRMM; from designing, managing the business to procuring new projects. She has helped place dRMM at the forefront of an industry characterised by men.
