Director Sadie Morgan has been appointed President for the upcoming term of the Architectural Association (AA), commencing June 2013.
Sadie is the fourth female to have been awarded Presidency in the 150 year history of the Association. The appointment comes as a great honour to Sadie. Her presidency will be in addition to her role as Director at dRMM to which her leadership and commitment remains the same.
The following is a statement from Sadie Morgan addressing her appointment:
“The Architectural Association is currently holding elections for Members of the Council for the 2013 term, and I am honoured to have been asked to take over the Presidency.
The AA can look forward to a positive year ahead thanks to the hard work of the School and Council members, guided by the Director Brett Steel and the steady hand of outgoing President Keith Priest.
2013 is the time to build on the energy and ambition of this world-leading architecture school. With the talent of its first-class staff and students, the support of its membership and council the AA can continue to excite, innovate and inspire.”
