dRMM Co-Founding Director Sadie Morgan has been newly appointed as a member to the Homes England board. Homes England is the UK government’s housing accelerator and works to improve neighbourhoods and grow communities. Sadie joins fellow new members Mark Rennison, Olivia Scanlon and Vanessa Murden on the board, taking its non-executive members from 6 to 10.
“As part of the Board’s agenda to build more sustainable and high-quality houses, my energy will be focused on delivering homes for people and places,” Sadie said on her appointment. “I understand how vital the role of Homes England is to help house our nation, and I am committed to ensuring we do so and to deliver a quality of life everyone deserves“.
This new appointment follows Sadie’s recent industry recognition at the AJ 100 Awards for her ‘Contribution to the Profession’, along with the inaugural ‘Female Architectural Leader of the Year’ award win at the Building Design awards earlier this year.
Alongside her role as a Director of dRMM, Sadie is involved in a number of advisory roles including Chair of the Independent Design Panel for High Speed Two; National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) Commissioner and Chair of the NIC Design Group; Mayor’s design advocate for the Greater London Authority’s ‘Good Growth by Design’ agenda; non-executive director of the Major Project Association; and most recently non-executive director of U+I to oversee delivery of their commitments to community engagement in PPP projects.
